Drew Flood the last of our 2014 harvest interns said his goodbyes on Tuesday. Drew came on board to gain real world work experience as well as learn about a new industry before moving on to finish his education. Drew completed his major in History at UC Berkeley in spring of 2012. After the holidays Drew is taking a 5 week trip to South America traveling to Columbia, Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador with longtime friend. He decided to take one big trip before returning to school to complete his law degree to become a public defender. Drew has a bit of decision making to do on his trip down south as he was recently accepted into law school at Harvard, NYU, Berkeley, UT Austin, UCLA, Duke and Georgetown!
Before his special request lunch of “angry mac & cheese” prepared by chef Abby, he surprised all of us with a very special song, link to video below, about his time with us at Ken Wright Cellars. We were all in stiches and some of us in tears at the end. He was a wonderful asset to have to get us through our busiest time of the year. We wish him safe travels and best of luck!
